Wolds Woodturning Association

Based in the lovely Lincolnshire Wolds, we are the Wolds Woodturning Association. We are a small wood turning group that meet on the last Tuesday of every month in the West Ashby Village Hall, Lincolnshire, UK.

We currently have a membership of over 55 woodtuners that ranges from school age to member's in their late 80's. The club is very friendly and informal with a guest Woodturner / Demonstrator at most meetings providing ideas for some new woodturning projects.

The members skills range from those who have just staring woodturning through to several professional woodturners. All of which are all happy and prepared to help and discuss any woodturning problems. This open woodturners forum has helped members to improve their skills and given the confidence to enter into our monthly competitions. A woodturning Gallery is provided on our site for members to display their woodturning projects.

We have a Club Shop selling a large variety of Chestnut products which is available every meeting. We also have other local businesses associated with the Club, that take it in turns to visit to provide the members the chance to purchase woodturning tools and chisels from Ashley Iles, native and exotic woods, woodturning accessories, DVDs ect. Please see the Links page for these businesses. We have also provided an Events page to advertise shows, demonstration days and courses in the area.

The Club runs a Competition table, that members may enter items they have made in the current year for the other members to admire, comment and vote on. So bring along your pride and joy and enter it into the competition.

2011 Membership Fee - £15
Entrance fee per meeting - £5
Guests - £5 per meeting for up to 3 meeting before requested to become a full member
Free cup of Tea or Coffee and biscuits

Monthly raffle costing £1 per ticket with a chance to win a variety of prizes.
